<p>소액결제 현금화는 상품권, 게임 아이템 등을 결제한 뒤 인증번호 등 정보를 업체에 넘기면 수수료를 떼고 즉시 현금을 지급하는 것을 말한다. ‘급전이 필요한 시민들이 흔히 사용하는데, 실상은 고금리 대출에 사기 확률이 높아 정보통신망법상 불법으로 규정하고 있다.</p>

<p>신용카드로 머지포인트를 구매한 일부 구매자들은 이용처에서 이용이 중단됐는데도 할부자본이 계속적으로 빠져나가고 있을 것이다고 토로했다. 더욱이 결제 금액이 20만 원을 넘지 않는 소액이거나 일시불로 결제해 항변권을 행사하지 못해 고통받고 있는 상태이다.</p>
