The Revit families refer to the group of design elements, along with a common set of properties that are known as the design parameters. The design elements that are organised into the Revit families are doors, walls, structural members, mechanical equipments or annotation design elements, for example, door tags, elevation symbols and column gridlines. The Revit families have been categorised into three categories, which are loadable families, system families, and in-place families. These Revit families can be created and modified outside the project environment, and they can also be loaded into any design project.
